William Greenwood is entering his fourth season as Head Coach of the UW-Sheboygan men's basketball program in 2018-2019.  In his first three years, UWS men's basketball has transformed from consistent losing to conference contender.

Greenwood owns a 42-35 overall record and a 24-17 record in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC).  He has coached five All-WCC players, one WCC East player of the year, and nine academic all-conference achievers.

2017-2018: Last season, UW-Sheboygan turned another corner building the Wombats into an annual WCC contender.  UWS reached the conference title game for the first time since 1988-1989.  With a record of 18-11, the Wombats notched back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1995-1996.  Also, the 18 wins back-to-back was for the first time since 1983-1984.  Greenwood's 42 total wins in three seasons was as many as the UWS program had overall in the previous decade.

2016-2017: Greenwood guided the Wombats to an 18-7 overall record and a 10-2 record in the WCC East.  The campaign earned UWS their first winning season in 17 years and the 18 overall wins were the most since 1983-1984.  The Wombats' season was marked by a 10 game winning streak, a win over a 4-year NAIA school, and sweeping WCC East opponents in the 2nd half of the division schedule. Greenwood was voted WCC East Coach of the Year for the team's efforts.

2015-2016: Greenwood's first year with the Wombats ended with a 6-17 overall record and a 4-8 mark in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference after being hired two weeks before the season began.  UWS was lauded for their strong team play, academic achievement, and setting a strong standard of character for the future.  Prior to Greenwood's arrival, UW-Sheboygan had not enjoyed a winning season since 1999-2000, including two win-less seasons, and one cancelled season.

Before coming to UW-Sheboygan, Greenwood was the head boy's basketball coach at Gillett High School in Wisconsin.  While there, he established and mobilized a previously non-existent youth basketball program.  He has served at various levels with the Shawano, Sheboygan North, Oshkosh West, and Freedom basketball programs.

Greenwood is a UW-Oshkosh graduate and teaches Chemistry and AP Chemistry at Sheboygan North High School.  He also is an assistant coach for the Sheboygan North Golden Raiders varsity football team.  Greenwood makes his residence in Sheboygan, WI.
